An uncommon sight here in Darmstadt. Most cars are very small for efficiency. Fuel prices are more than double what they are in the US, plus the streets have little parking. Parking isn't marked on the streets. Parking is simply pulling halfway onto the sidewalk, or all the way.
Chuck Taylor's and Vans are popular across the globe. Here we are waiting to go into the library on campus. You see the shoes from maybe 4 countries in this picture.
I haven't seen these in America in a long time. These are more common in Darmstadt than the paper dispensers.
We had a little break between procedural requirements at school, so we took a walk and found this small park. Lauren and Sam find a tree and take a nice relaxing break. Eduardo, from Spain, and I hung out too and we all ended up checking our coins for euros from other countries. Sam now has one from Italy. I have one from Germany, Espana, and one that says "Liberte Egalite Fraternite."
This guy sang that stupid song from the Korean guy. He was dressed in full black cowboy gear covered in metal studs and wore a couple wallet chains. What a sight. I did get on stage when a guy from our group from Jordan went up to sing "Hotel California" by the Eagles. It was awesome. Only one person sang a song in German. All the other songs were from America. Except the Macarena which we were all forced to dance to. It was horrendous, silly, embarrassing, but we all had a good laugh.
After the Irish karaoke bar, we headed to Schloss Keller. I danced to electronic music. Yep, mark that as a shell-breaker.
Our international group.
Upcoming shows at the house next to the dorms. Looks good t me.
Dinner: Musli, bread, mandarin orange, banana, peanut butter. So healthy and delicious.
