I stopped at a backery on my way home because I keep hearing
that German bread is way better than in America. I called “bullshit.” They
don’t know of all the good small bakeries that we have. The difference is that
they’re all over the place here. In California you have specialized bakeries
scattered throughout town, or very few. You don’t even have to leave the
sidewalk in some places to get a good loaf of bread or pastry.
It’s been a great vacation, but things are settling down and
I’m curious as to how I’ll fill the time until school starts. I will find a
way. Rita said she’ll invite me to run with her next, and I still have to
figure out the bike situation. I’m not done reading my book yet, and I brought
Congo with me in case I need more reading. Exploring. That’s what I’ll do. I’ll
use my free buss/tram pass to get lost somewhere.
My diet is all out of whack. Many banana, peanut butter, and
musli cereal. I need to do the prep work so I go to the grocery store prepared
and I can make meals. Then I have to figure out food storage. Back to the €
Store for cheap shit.
